BARGE / TOWMASTER SERVICES 2017-05-19T11:23:45+00:00

The Port Marine Safety Code Guide to Good Practice requires that “for in port tows, the person acting as Tow Master who is responsible for the safety of the manoeuvre should be clearly identified”.

Class 1 Maritime can provide experienced Barge / Tow Masters for a wide range of barge / dead ship roles in compliance with the above PMSC requirement.

Our personnel have gained extensive experience over a number of years on major construction and offshore projects such as the HMS Queen Elizabeth & Prince of Wales aircraft alliance project, the new Forth Replacement Crossing (FRC) and various offshore / renewable projects including jackets and modules being transported by barge, in addition to many other similar roles.
